UK parkrun Attendance - 9th December 2017

parkrun UK hit hard by the weather, with a record 95 cancellations, and runner numbers down into the 60,000s for the first time since last November.

 

Biggest parkruns: Bushy Park (1096), Southampton (644), Poole (504), Chelmsford Central (473), Bromley (443), Black Park (424), Newcastle (419), Nonsuch (417), Basingstoke (411), York (400).

Median parkrun: Camperdown (148).

Smallest parkruns: Lullingstone (35), Drumchapel (23), Gainsborough (22), Black Combe (19), Millom (18), Merthyr (18), Ellon (17), Aviemore (16), Stonehaven (10), Dolgellau (9).

New records / new parkruns: Colney Lane (284).

There were 392 parkruns, 95 cancellations, and the total UK 5K parkrun population was 65687.

 

Of the parkruns that took place both last week and this week:

90 parkruns had higher attendance than last week,

270 parkruns had lower attendance than last week,

Queen Elizabeth, Burnham-on-Crouch, Henley-on-Thames, Harlow, Kirkcaldy, Whitstable, Hillsborough, Pomphrey Hill, Hampstead Heath, Nonsuch, Black Park, had precisely the same as last week,

The biggest increase in attendance (in terms of absolute numbers) was Bushy Park, with a change of 105,

The biggest increase in attendance (in terms of percentages) was Cheadle Hulme, with a change of 364%,

The biggest drop in attendance (in terms of absolute numbers) was Brueton, with a change of -264,

The biggest drop in attendance (in terms of percentages) was Windy Nook, with a change of -79%.
